Neighborhood News by Nan

Bonniewood resident Nan Kennedy has been sending out e-mails with neighborhood news, and has agreed to share her listings with us. Thanks, Nan!

For this month's edition read below!
THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING TO WATERLOO:

BRIGHTEN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH ARTS COLLINWOOD
A group of Arts Collinwood artists has returned from a lantern-making workshop, at the Cleveland Museum of Art, with four beautiful lanterns and material to make lots more! AC will install the first four along Waterloo Road, and would love to see many more join them.

So, if you've got time -- come to the AC Community Arts Center at 10 am on Saturday (Nov 29). Arts Collinwood will be building more lanterns, getting out some holiday lights, and generally looking for folks to help make the district festive. They’ll bring the coffee and bagels -- you should feel free to bring a friend. Children welcome (there are lantern projects for them, too!)

GUESTS WITH YOU FOR THE WEEKEND? DO A WATERLOO STROLL.

They’ve collected so many collectibles that they’ve had to open The ShopARooni Annex, starting Friday, November 28, 7-11pm, and continuing through the holidays.

Not only that, but they still have PlushForms, the customized plush figures that local artists have turned into one-of-a-kinds. They'll all be sold to the highest bidders on November 29, to benefit Toys for Tots. ShopARooni is at 15813 Waterloo Rd. Hours: 2-10 p.m. Tues-Thurs; 2-11 p.m. Fri; noon-11 p.m. Sat; noon-6 p.m. Sun. Shore Acres Signage Update

As many of you already know, the proposed Shore Acres Signage project has gone through many stages and modifications in the last year. We ran into trouble with city regulations which would not allow us to do an archway, so the plan evolved into elegant street signs on E. 149, 150, and 151. We are happy to announce that the sign designs are at the manufacturers and will be installed soon - hopefully before the new year. Thanks to Scott Stettin for having the vision to lead the way on this project, also our hard-working board and especially Danielle for creating the gorgeous artwork. We will be looking for neighbors to help install the signs so look for more information here on the blog soon.
