14901 Lake Shore

A message from neighborhood president Meg Doer:
------
Hi all,
I would like to know how you feel about 14901 Lake Shore {which burned down on March 17} ... I ran into Dan Chaplin this morning at the West Side Market, and he was wondering if we should stop the demolition and have a developer rebuild it. I remember that someone had said that those corner houses are a buffer to Lake Shore for residents of 149th. On the other hand, demolition seems like a sure bet that could happen soon.
Please let me know your thoughts very soon (as the demolition order has already been issued).
Thanks
Meg

Blissful Acres

Joanie Bliss of Harpersfield is offering a summer vegetable delivery service to our neighborhood. If you'd like to participate, contact Joanie right away. Her flyer deadline for the first payment was last week, but since she's just confirmed the Collinwood route, you still have time to join in.

From Joanie...

" You as a shareholder will receive 16 deliveries of the best my farm has to offer. Your produce is harvested and delivered within twenty-four hours. I will send an e-mail around the day of delivery to give a description, tips on storage, or recipes as needed."

"The 2008 Blissful Acres CSA share cost for 16 deliveries will be $320 and will consist of two payments of $160 each. The first payment is due March 15th, second payment is due July 15th. You can expect to receive $20 worth of goods weekly. I anticipate my season to start mid June."

"At times I may also supplement deliveries with eggs, feta cheese, soap and flowers to fulfill your order."
